House of Flames Media began in 2006 as the House of Flames live music venue in the 3D virtual world of Second Life. We loved the idea that a musician could use audio streaming technology over the Internet and broadcast from a home studio in Germany, to a virtual venue in Second Life, with others in attendance from all over the globe. After some experimentation to create as live an experience as possible, the House of Flames produced BONFIRE 2007, the first 24-hour live music festival in a virtual world. After BONFIRE, we were one of the first pioneers of live video streaming in Second Life, which allowed us to work with some large media companies and create a brand as a leading virtual media organization. As a corporation outside of virtual worlds, House of Flames Media has expanded services to include live events of all kinds: festivals, club performances, car shows- we even streamed a roller derby! By recording what we streamed, we found a market for music video and video promotion press kits for emerging artists. We also stream and record educational and industry events, create training videos, and develop curriculum using mobile technologies and virtual worlds. Not forgetting our roots, we still produce cross-stream events from physical venues into our virtual venue in Second Life. This type of event provides a global audience and immediate feedback, as well as an additional revenue stream for artists. Contact us for details. ![]() |
